With less than a month before the Beijing Olympics start, thousands of workers giving finishing touches to a 40 billion dollars transformation of the capital for the 2008 Olympics. China officials are striving to keep the city clean and safe. Chinese, more particularly the Beijing’s are proud that Olympics are being held in Beijing. The games are the biggest international event that China has ever staged and the country's leaders use this opportunity to flag the country's economic progress and modernization. Hosting of Olympic Games in China shows as a flowering of national pride and good will and that the whole world gathers together. People do not see confrontation any more but good will and friendship.
